Type of Application of SEALS used:

Self-Adhesive Sealing –
It is available in various rubber options and shapes to ensure the
best suitable product for your door. These weatherstrips are supplied with a Self-Adhesive Peel and Stick
Backing which ensures easy no-hassle installation.

Kerf Sealing –
Kerf Sealing is known for its easy installation. Many door frames are
supplied with a narrow groove, known as a Kerf, in which a weatherstrip is applied. There are neither screws nor
adhesives necessary for installation and no extra maintenance is required, making it the most feasible solution.

Material & Types of Seals used:
AI, PVC, Silicon Rubber, TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer),
and EPDM.

A Smoke Seal and why it is important:
How does it work?
Smoke seals
are placed between the door frame and the door on all sides. These seals will stop smoke from passing through
the gaps so that the rest of the building is not affected by heavy smoke.
Why is it
important?
Smoke inhalation kills more people than fires do. This is an effective means of
preventing that from happening.

Groove Frames and Seals are the future and one of the best references for this change has been referenced in the
new IS3614:2021 where the standards call for the use of Groove Frame and the use of smoke seal as
well.
